St. James Episcopal Church
St. James Episcopal Church, now approaching our 250th anniversary, is the cradle of the Episcopal church in Vermont. Our Historic Graveyard is the resting place of General Ethan Allen's wife Mary, and two children, Joseph and Mary. It is also the resting place of noted author Dorothy Canfield Fisher. Founded by Jehiel Hawley in the late 1700's.
